Clarence Seedorf is regarded as one of the greatest footballers of his generation. He enjoyed an extraordinary career with Ajax, Real Madrid, and AC Milan, winning some of football's biggest trophies and earning a place among the sport's legends.

Yet, the most meaningful moment of his journey did not take place on the pitch, it took place in his heart.

In 2022, Seedorf announced that he had embraced Islam and expressed his great happiness at becoming part of the worldwide Muslim community.

He shared that his wife, Sophia, played an important role in helping him understand the true meaning of Islam. Through her, he learned more about the faith until he chose to embrace it.

He also said that he would not change his name, but would continue to proudly carry the name his parents gave him: Clarence Seedorf.
