Why do Palestinians hold on to hope despite the pain?

Why do Palestinians hold on to hope despite the pain?

Why do Palestinians hold on to hope despite the pain?

To Muslims, Palestine is not just a piece of land, it is a sacred trust. It is home to Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, and is deeply connected to the stories of the prophets: Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all).

But beyond its religious significance, what sustains Palestinians is faith.

Faith that justice matters.

Faith that oppression will not last forever.

Faith that pain is not meaningless, and that every hardship has a purpose.

In Islam, life is a test and those who endure with patience are promised a reward beyond imagination.

"Do you think that you would enter Paradise when Allah has not yet seen those of you who struggled in His way and those who remained patient?” (Quran 3:142, Suraا Āl-‘Imrān)

Palestinians are asking for dignity, freedom, and the right to live—like any human being.

Their patience is not weakness. It is strength drawn from belief in something eternal:

That justice will come, and that Heaven awaits those who remain firm on truth.
